Buck expects more insurance issues By SUE WATSON Another insurance crisis is likely to loom over the Mississippi legislature in 2007, according to Rep. Kelvin Buck, who serves on the insurance committee. Holly Springs officers look for suspect in grand larceny The Holly Springs Police Department took a call Friday regarding a grand larceny in the 100 block of Van Dorn Avenue. The victim stated that $500 in cash and a $5,000 pair of diamond earrings were taken from her vehicle between 10 and 10:30 a.m. If anyone has information regarding this incident, please contact the Holly Springs Police Department at 666-252-2122 or Marshall County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-729-2169. Chief Robert Pearson said Holly Springs police officers also responded to the following calls last week – two shoplifting, one forgery, two counterfeiting, four simple assaults, three aggravated assaults, one possession of marijuana, one breaking and entering, one possession with intent to distribute, two malicious mischief calls, one hit and run, and one disturbance.
