• SECOND TIME AROUND The Marshall County Humane Society’s thrift store, Second Time Around, 126 W. Van Dorn, located next to Bailey Printing in Holly Springs, will be open Fri. from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. and Sat., 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Call 662-564-2900 for pick-up information on your donation.

• PASTORS’ CONFERENCE Mt. Moriah MB Church and the Churches of the Mid-South present Empowering Your Ministry, a growth and development pastors’ conference, Sat., Mar. 4, 8 a.m.-3 p.m. at Chulahoma MB Church. Rev. John Booker, pastor.

• Singing, Mar. 4, Mt. Calvary Pentecostal Church, 3993 Cayce Rd., 1/2 mile south of Goodman Rd. Featuring the Williams Family. 5 p.m. Everyone welcome.

• SINGING Singing March 4 at 6 p.m. at Holly Hill Baptist Church in Holly Springs. The featured group will be The Reeds from Ripley, Tenn.and local singers. The church is located on Old Hwy #7. Bro Frank Feathers and congregation invite all to come and worship. Fellowship will follow.

• BENEFIT The class of 1968 hosts benefit for Mrs. Aaron Wilkins and family at Beverly CME Church, 5 p.m. All groups, choirs, and male choruses are invited to perform.

• YARD SALE The Big Star Baggers in Holly Springs will have a yard sale for Relay For Life, Sat., March 4, starting at 4 p.m. in the Carlisle’s Big Star parking lot, Holly Springs.

• SPAY/NEUTER PROGRAM The Marshall County Humane Society’s low cost spay/neuter program will be open at 646 Old Hwy 78 E. Call 252-6196 for the necessary appointment.

• REGISTRATION Byhalia Sports Association will hold “last chance” registration for spring and summer girls fast pitch softball for ages 7-16 and youth baseball for ages 4 through 14 on Sunday March 5, from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. at the Byhalia High School Cafeteria. Please be prepared to turn in a copy of your child’s birth certificate and a recent school picture. All men are encouraged to bring their favorite wild game dish to this event. Call the church office by Tues., March 7 at 252-2627, if you plan to attend. Joan Fitch’s staff will also be preparing stew. No charge, but donations will be accepted for the Baptist Men’s Ministry Projects. Guest speaker will be Jay Harvill.

• BANQUET The Kimbrough Chapel Church family will be hosting their pastor and wife banquet, 6 p.m. in the church fellowship hall. Guest speaker will be Rev. Levy Jones from Gary, Ind. and is sponsored by the Pastor-Aide committee.

• MEETING Marshall County Republicans will meet at the Holly Springs Country Club, 564 W. Woodward Ave., Sat., March 18, 10 a.m. Speaker will be Betty Byrd, tax collector. Lunch will be served, $7 per person. The public is invited.

• SWEETHEART BALL The annual Sweetheart Ball that was scheduled for Feb. 18 has been rescheduled for March 18, 6:30 p.m. in the Hudsonville Family Life Center.

March 19

• TWELVE TRIBE PROGRAM True Vine MB Church will have a 12 Tribes program, Sun., March 19, 2 p.m. Pastor Michael Adams and St. Paul CME Church will be guests. Pastor Darrell Cunningham, host pastor.

• STATE DRIVE PROGRAM Sun., March 19, St. Mark Church will sponsor their annual State Drive program. The public is invited.

• PASTOR’S LOVE DAY PROGRAM Rising Star MB Church, with guest speaker Pastor James Rosser and Lagoshen Baptist Church of Rossville, Tenn., March 19, 3 p.m.
