Young Hawks bring home conference crowns

The Holly Springs junior high and pee wee Hawks were recently crowned champions of the North Mississippi Junior High Conference Tournament.

The tourney was held February 2-4 at Henry Junior High School in Byhalia.

The junior high Hawks beat Galena 55-52. It was their second tournament win against Galena. They beat Galena in the Holy Family Tournament in early December 2005.

The junior high Hawks finished the basketball season with an excellent 13-5 record.

The pee wee Hawks (fifth and sixth graders) also took first place in the Conference Tournament. They completed the season with a perfect 10-0 record.
