Tournament being played in Baldwyn H.W. Byers and Potts Camp basketball teams are competing in the Region 1-2A Basketball Tournament this week at Baldwyn. Both schools moved up to the 2A classification this season. The Byers Lions are seeded second behind Ashland. The Potts Camp Cardinals are the third seed. The H.W. Byers Lady Lions are seeded third, behind Belmont (number one) and Ashland (number two). The Potts Camp Lady Cardinals are the fourth seed. Competition began Monday and concludes Friday. The top four teams in the girls and boys brackets advance to Class 2A North State play next week. Monday, Feb. 13 - 5:30 p.m. (G) Baldwyn vs. H.W. Byers; 7 p.m. - (B) Potts Camp vs. New Site; 8:30 p.m. (G) Ashland vs. New Site. Tuesday, Feb. 14 - 5:30 p.m. (B) East Union vs. H.W. Byers; 7 p.m. (G) Potts Camp vs. East Union; 8:30 p.m. (B) Baldwyn vs. Belmont. Thursday, Feb. 16 - 4 p.m. (G) Belmont vs. Potts Camp-East Union winner; 5:30 p.m. (B) Ashland vs. Baldwyn-Belmont winner; 7 p.m. (G) Baldwyn-H.W. Byers winner vs. Ashland-New Site winner; 8:30 p.m. (B) Potts Camp-New Site winner vs. H.W. Byers-East Union winner. Friday, Feb. 17 - 4 p.m. (G) Consolation game; 5:30 p.m. (B) Consolation game; 7 p.m. (G) Championship game; 8:30 p.m. (B) Championship game. Report News:
