Plans underway for Bluegrass Festival July 1
Hello Snow Lakers. I hope you had a good week and will have a Happy Valentine’s Day!
Mickey Snow is in the hospital after having a knee replacement. He is doing fine, but hopes to stay in a couple of weeks for therapy. Keep him and Velma in your prayers. Dewey Long was in the hospital a couple of days last week but he is home and doing fine now. Welcome home, Dewey. If you know of anyone sick or needing help please call Sue Graves, 224-3264.
Get ready for the Bluegrass Festival on July 1! Work has begun on planning the events, booking the bands, and making plans for fireworks. Insurance must be provided for shooting fireworks and that is an added expense, so the committee could use some contributions to assist with this. Contact the town or corporation office for more information. All help is extremely appreciated.
The committee held a meeting on the 31st, so if you missed this one, please watch the paper when the next one will be announced.
Again, I want to mention The Neighborhood Watch Program. There is a grant and contributions to purchase signs, so when the signs arrive they will be installed in the appropiate locations.
“We’re On The Road Again” - on Feb. 9 we are going to Los Angeles, Calif. after stopping in Tucson, Ariz. to see our cousin. Then we, along with our daughter, will complete the first leg of the trip to California to see our granddaughter. Our daughter will fly back to Memphis on Feb. 25 and we will continue on to the south- western states. More details later.
Guests are always welcome to come to any of Snow Lake Shore’s events.
Monday, SNVFD Ladies Auxiliary meeting will be held every other month, so the next one will be Monday, March 13 at 6:30 at the landscape room.
