“Fire and hail, snow and vapors, stormy wind...

As I write this Monday morning, we are experiencing a thunderstorm with sleet. Fire and ice! It reminds one of Psalm 148: “Praise the Lord from the earth, ye dragons and all deeps: Fire and hail, snow and vapors; stormy wind fulfilling his word.”

We do not like it when the weather gets too biblical. Unfortunately for us when skies are clear and the weather is balmy, we do not say that “The Lord caused all this pleasantness.”
