Linda Belk, a teacher at Marshall Academy for 27 years, has been nominated for Mississippi Private School Association Elementary Teacher of the Year.

Area students named to fall semester UM honor roll

The following students from The South Reporter circulation area were listed on the Chancellor’s Honor Roll at the University of Mississippi for the fall 2006 semester.

Susan Elizabeth Hamblin, Lori Ann Simpson both of Byhalia; Indira Danielle Cotton, Pratima Patel, Monique Kandrel Thompson, all of Holly Springs; Jennifer Michele Lemons , Lori Lynn Whaley, both of Potts Camp; DeAnna L. Eben of Red Banks and Tatorie Marion Howell of Waterford.

The following students were listed on the Dean’s Honor Roll at the University of Mississippi for the fall 2006 semester.

Sara Nicole Bailey, Pamela Diane Hunt, Alex Pierre McClarty, Daniel Christian Read, Amy Itsuko Ridley, all of Byhalia; Cortessia Desmonique Badie, Norie Elizabeth Cotton, Robert Kenneth Dickerson, Elisha Shunell Marion, Gerald William Stinson, and Danielle P. Totten, all of Holly Springs.

William Carey University President’s List

Ashley Webb has been named to William Carey University President’s List for the fall trimester. President’s List scholars have a perfect 4.0 grade point average for nine or more hours of academic work.

She is the daughter of David and Lisa Webb of Holly Springs.
