Lake News Hoover home setting for Friendship Club Christmas meeting Hello Snow Lakers. I hope you had a good week . I had a wonderful week. I was lazy and laid around a lot but I think my attitude is getting better. I worked in the yard a short time and I realize that would help more than anything. Also, I got some good news from my baby in L.A. At his two month check-up he has gained another 3-1/2 pounds and 1-1/2 inches - making him a total of 15 pounds and 24 inches in length. Isn’t that great? I hope you have driven around the lake to see all the beautiful Christmas decoration? Several houses are really decorated. Thanks to them for sharing it with us. The front of the Town and Corp offices looks festive. Also, the Landscape Society has decorated both entrances. It’s worth the time to see all of it. I hear the Snow Lake Christmas Parade turned out great - just needed more boats. Ralph Edwards is still in the Baptist Hospital, ICU, East. Jane said they are doing all they can at this time to keep him going. He is improving and hopefully in time he will fully recover. We want to extend our sympathy to the Leigh Langley’ family. Cliff passed away the first of last week. He was buried in another Mississippi town. We will miss him. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families. If you know of anyone sick or needs help please call Sue Graves 224-3264. The Friendship Club had their Christmas meeting at Laura Hoover’s on Hwy. 5 We had a wonderful lunch and exchanged presents. Around 12/14 members and their husbands also attended. If you are interested in knowing more about the club, call Sue Shears, 224-3913. The election is over. Laurie Pierpont is Mayor and Alderman is Bill Bledsoe. We wish them the best. Coming Events Dec. 25 - Christmas Jan. 2 - Tues. 7:30 p.m. Town meeting (changed because of Christmas) Remember, guests are always welcome to come to any of our events. Our Quote: From Gentle Thoughts: “Who is narrow of vision cannot be big-hearted; who is narrow of spirit cannot take long, easy strides.” Have a good week, and hope to see you next week. Report News:
