Byhalia police officers respond to 32 calls The Byhalia Police Department responded to 32 calls during the past week. Chief Mike Novay released the following report – eight alarm calls, three motor vehicle accidents, one disturbance, three domestic calls, one escort, five assists, two DUIs, one fire and eight miscellaneous. Officers wrote 23 citations. Police also made five arrests on the following charges:
Habitat for Humanity taking applications Thursday On Thursday, November 30, Marshall County Habitat for Humanity will be taking applications for those wishing to qualify for a home. First Presbyterian Church, 2532 Church St., in Byhalia is the location; the time is 5:30 p.m. From the stoplight at Hwy. 178 (old 78) and Byhalia Road turn left, go to the first stop sign, which is Church St., and turn right. Northcentral sees great growth By BARRY BURLESON Change and growth were the key words in Kevin Doddridge’s presentation November 16 during the Byhalia Area Chamber of Commerce membership luncheon. Aldermen adopt PUD By SUE WATSON The board of aldermen voted 4-0 for a resolution to adopt the Holly Springs Commons Public Utility District.
