Bi-County tips off Thursday

Hickory Flat High School will host the third annual Bi-County Basketball Tournament this week, Nov. 30-Dec. 2.

The tournament features high school teams from Benton and Marshall counties. Schools involved are Holly Springs, Hickory Flat, Potts Camp, Ashland, Byhalia and H.W. Byers.

There will be four games each of the three days of the tournament.

Thursday, Nov. 30

4 p.m., girls game, Potts Camp vs. Ashland.
5:30 p.m., boys game, Hickory Flat vs. Ashland.
7 p.m., girls game, Holly Springs vs. Hickory Flat.
8:30 p.m., boys game, Byhalia vs. Potts Camp.

Friday, Dec. 1

4 p.m., girls game, H.W. Byers vs. Potts Camp-Ashland winner.
5:30 p.m., boys game, Holly Springs vs. Hickory Flat-Ashland winner.
7 p.m., girls game, Byhalia vs. Holly Springs-Hickory Flat winner.
8:30 p.m., boys game, H.W. Byers vs. Byhalia-Potts Camp winner.

Saturday, Dec. 2

4 p.m., girls consolation game.
5:30 p.m., boys consolation game.
7 p.m., girls championship.
8:30 p.m., boys championship.

Defending tournament champions are the Byhalia girls and the Holly Springs boys.

This is the first year for Hickory Flat teams to compete in the Bi-County Tournament.
