Man shot, killed at nightclub; suspect left scene By SUE WATSON A man is dead following a shooting at Elmore’s night club in Victoria Sunday around 9 p.m., according to Marshall County Sheriff Kenny Dickerson. Chico Ray Aldridge, thought to be 41 years old and also thought to be from the Moore Road address area, was pronounced dead on the scene about 9:15 p.m. by coroner John Garrison. He said Aldridge’s body was lying in front of Elmore’s club on Victoria Road. Aldridge was shot several times, Garrison said. His body was sent to Jackson for an autopsy by the state medical examiner. Charges were filed on the suspect who left the scene after the shooting, according to Dickerson. The name of the suspect is being withheld by the sheriff’s department pending an arrest. Sheriff Dickerson said the investigation into the shooting is continuing, and no motive for the shooting had been determined as of Monday at noon. The newspaper had an early deadline this week due to the Thanksgiving holiday. Garrison said no signs of physical contact with the assailant or any gross findings of injury other than multiple gunshot wounds were found on examination of the victim’s body before it was sent to autopsy.
