Courthouse reception honors Riddle By SUE WATSON Epson Riddle, 84, retired recently as head of custodial services at the courthouse after 20 years service. Riddle and his wife, daughters and grandchildren were honored at an afternoon reception October 31, with many county employees, elected officials and friends coming by to share snacks and cake and praise Riddle for his loyal and kind service. A great table of food was set at the upstairs courtroom, all of it prepared by the loving hands of county employees, their relatives and elected officials. Riddle was presented with thank you cards, gift money and a plaque denoting his service to Marshall County. A man who thrives on physical activities including chores around the house and gardening, Riddle said his wife Louise will not have any honey-do lists ready for him; he does what needs doing without having to be asked. Before joining the county courthouse crew, Riddle worked as a construction worker. Report News:
