Three Marshall Academy students, Sarah Poteet, Preston Farley and Claire Liddy, were honored this summer for their academic achievement. Duke University, sponsors of the Duke T.I.P.S. (Talent Identification Program), honored them at the University of Southern Mississippi for their outstanding scores on the ACT test. They were invited to a special recognition ceremony for talented seventh graders throughout the state of Mississippi. Of the 2,016 Mississippi seventh graders who took the ACT in 2006, only 574 were recognized for their outstanding scores. This special day was hosted by the Frances A. Karnes Center for Gifted Studies as well as Duke University. Marshall Academy is very proud of these excellent students.
