Alliance sponsors program at ICS Alliance Charitable Foundation of Marshall County and Williams Medical Clinic sponsored an educational program for 110 parents, grandparents and staff at Holly Springs ICS Headstart Center, October 31. Physicians from Williams Clinic delivered presentations on topics from Cancer and Women’s Health to Childhood Obesity and Cardiovascular Disease. While parents and grandparents were being educated, the Foundation sponsored a Halloween party with an assortment of activities that kept 83 children physically active and entertained. Each child received healthy snack treats and fun prizes. Alliance Charitable Foundation is a 501C3 tax-exempt public charity with a mission and purpose to improve the health and well-being of residents in Marshall County. Financial support for this event was funded in part by a mini grant from the Mississippi Department of Health, Office of Preventive Health, Alliance Hospital, and Women and Friends for a Healthy Marshall County.
