Springs News Milans celebrate 55th anniversary Hopewell No. 1 Choir Day was Sunday, Oct. 22. A welcome was given. Many choirs and solo singers were present. Sis. Cora Walton, president; Rev. Leroy James, host pastor. Revival that was held at Hopewell No. 1 for three nights was a success. Rev. Goliday of Oxford was the evangelist. Mr. and Mrs. Henderson Milan celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary Tuesday, Oct. 24, by having lunch at Beacons Cafeteria, touring the beautiful campus of the University of Mississippi, attending a movie in the mall and spending the night in Ole Miss Motel. They were married Wednesday, Oct. 24, 1951, 10 a.m. at Province Baptist Church in Holly Springs by the late Rev. W.L. Echols. We wish to express our love and sympathy to the family of the late John Thomas Jackson in Detroit, Mich. Services were held Oct. 13 in Detroit. He was a brother of Mary Milan and Genetha Smith of Holly Springs. Attending the funeral from Mississippi were Mary Milan, Genetha Smith of Holly Springs, Theresia Bostick of Lamar, Mr. and Mrs. Michael Smith and daughter of Jackson; from Tennessee, attorney Corneilous Bostick, Mr. and Mrs. Juluis Bostick of Memphis. Two seminars will be held at Hopewell No. 1 Nov. 2 and 3. Henderson Milan received a congratulatory Certificate of Nomination by American Legion headquarters in Indianapolis, Ind. Oct. 13 Marshall County Retired Education Personnel will meet at Dreamland Dec. 8. Our Christmas dinner will be served for a fee. The annual music program that was presented by Dr. Zebedee Reynolds Jones at Hopewell No. 1 Oct. 1 was a great success. Fall revival will be held at Hopewell No. 1 for three nights, Oct. 25-27. Rev. Goliday will be the speaker. Choir day will be at Hopewell No. 1 Sunday, Oct. 22, 3 p.m. Many choirs and solo singers will be present. The public is invited. Marshall County Retired Education Personnel met Friday at the library. We wish to express our love and sympathy to the family of the late Mrs. Sallie Pryor. Report News:
