Mt. Pleasant teams fight hard in losses Saturday, October 7, was a hard day for the Lions Youth Football teams. With a half time show put on by the cheerleaders, the Lions still displayed great sportsmanship despite the loss. The competition against the Holly Springs Cowboys was fierce. The games were played at Byhalia High School and the crowd was filled with spectators from both sides. With a record of 2-1, the peewee team (7-9 year olds) lost with a score of 25-18. With a record of 1-2, the bantam squad (10-12 year olds) lost with a score of 18-6. The midgets (13-16 year olds) lost their battle with a score of 16-0. All three teams fought hard to turn each game in their favor. There are three games left in the regular season with the next game being played in Grenada this Saturday against the Walls Twisters and the Grenada Little Chargers. The peewee and midget teams will be competing against the Twisters, and the bantam team will be competing against the Little Chargers. Continued support from the community and surrounding areas is still needed to make the rest of the season a success as well. Thanks to all who have supported us thus far. Report News:
