EducationMemphis Botanic Gardens setting for class reunionThe Byhalia High School Class of 1986 recently held its 20th year reunion banquet on Aug. 25 at the Memphis Botanic Gardens. Classmates enjoyed a catered meal and music in the Goldsmith room. There was a short program for the banquet in which the emcee was fellow classmate Felicia (Anderson) Harvell. Marvia Balfour presented several beautiful door prizes to classmates in attendance. A song of encouragement was sung by Angela (Dockery) Brooks and a special prayer was led by her husband, Rev. Marvin Brooks. There was also a very special heartwarming presentation to classmate Adreal Malone by Frederick Norman. In addition to the banquet, a class picnic was held the following day at the lovely home of Barry and Lesa (Oliver) Wright. Classmates and their families enjoyed grilled chicken, ribs, hot dogs and hamburgers with a variety of delicious side dishes. Several games and a space bouncer were provided for the children. Everyone truly had a wonderful time. The Byhalia High School Class of 1986 would like to give a special thanks to classmate Marilyn Jones and to all of the people who met to organize and make this reunion a huge success. Report News:
