Byhalia Chamber calendar of events Picture This on Thursday, Oct. 5 at 8:30 - 9 a.m. at Chamber office -- coffee, donuts, networking, media picture - free! Come by! Mark your calendar to join Byhalia Sports Association and Byhalia Lions Club for the 25th annual Byhalia White Oak Festival on Saturday, October 14 (rain date October 21) from 10 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. for arts, crafts, food booths, karaoke contest, games, baby photo contest, displays, a motorcycle show, activities for kids, raffles, entertainment, and many prizes. The festival will again feature the popular “Kiss a Pig Contest” with local “favorites” competing. Booths are on a first come, first serve basis and cannot be reserved without payment. To ensure you have a space for your booth, please call immediately as spaces are filling up quickly. No concession booth spaces are left. All other booth spaces are $25 and can be obtained by calling 662 838-2806 (Janice) or 662 838-5200 (Darla) or stopping by the Byhalia Area Chamber of Commerce office Monday through Thursday. Weather permitting, the dunk tank will be open with lots of local favorites each trying to avoid going in the water. Entertainment being booked includes local singers, choirs, cheerleaders, demos, and local favorite bands. The festival, located in Byhalia on Church Street from the corner of Hwy. 309 to Senter Street, features something for everyone. Watch the paper for details of coming attractions.
