Marshall County leadership committee organizes for 2007 class; apply now
The Steering Committee for the Marshall County Leadership Program met at Annie’s Restaurant in Holly Springs Wednesday, Sept. 13, to make plans for next year’s class.
The group brainstormed ideas on the retreat, sessions, speakers and recruiting new class members. The committee strives to have a diverse class of age, race and gender.
The Marshall County Leadership Program’s goals are to work together in developing better leaders, to assist in making Marshall County a better place to live, work and visit, to learn more about developing leadership qualities and to create an opportunity for networking. Nine modules are taught on leadership skills, teamwork, communication and partnerships.
The dates for the two-day retreat are January 25 and 26, 2007, with a session each month on Feb. 15, Mar. 22, April 19, May 24, June 21 with graduation on June 28, 2007.
Assistance with scholarships is limited. To apply for enrollment in the Class of 2007 contact Holly Springs Chamber of Commerce, Byhalia Area Chamber of Commerce or the Marshall County Extension Service or go online to www.GoByhalia.com and click on Chamber of Commerce.
