White Oak golf tourney Thursday The 10th Annual Byhalia Area Chamber of Commerce White Oak Classic Golf Tournament is Thursday, Sept. 21, at Kirkwood National in Holly Springs. Shotgun starts are set for 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. Lunch will be served 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Entry fee is $100 per player for the four-person team scramble. The $100 fee includes lunch, putting contest, range balls, cart, green fees, snacks/beverages on the course, goodie bag and chance for door prizes. Mulligans are available for $10 each (limited to 4 per player) Activities will also include team pictures. Hole sponsorships are $125 and cart sponsorships $40. There will be raffles for prizes. There will be a hole-in-one contest for a $5,000 grand cash prize and other prizes, sponsored by CLM Insurance Group - Byhalia and Olive Branch. There will also be prizes for most accurate drive, longest drive, closest to the pin and ladies longest drive. A putting contest is sponsored by Senator Ralph Doxey and Representative Tommy Woods. Platinum sponsors are CenturyTel, Citizens Bank, Hunter Fan Co., 1st TN Home Loans, Marshall Co. Board of Supervisors, Northcentral EPA, Town of Byhalia. Gold Sponsors are AERC, PLLC, Bank of Holly Springs and Woods Farm Supply. To donate door prizes, contact Amy Burrow, 838-2163 or 901-212-3647. Cost for a tent sponsorship on the course is only $200. Call 838-8127. Tent sponsors receive a hole sponsorship. Tent, drinks and coolers provided. Tent sponsor must provide table and chairs. Take this opportunity to promote your business.
