Lake News “Summer Blowout” set for Saturday at Community Center Hello Snow Lakers. I hope you had a good week. As I said last week, we are home from vacation and we had a wonderful time but we left last Tuesday, the 5th, for another vacation. First we are going to Las Vegas to a birthday party. Then North to Utah, Idaho, Montana, and Canada. Then back through Montana, Wyoming, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri. Then we will be homeward bound. I haven’t heard of anyone sick, so if you know of anyone sick or needing help please call Sue Graves, 224-3264. The Community Center recently had a meeting to plan some events for late summer. On September 9 they are planning a “Summer Blowout” with hamburgers with trimmings, and ice cream. Cost is $5 per person. It will be held on the patio, weather permitting. Keep this date in mind! October 7 - the Community Center and Ladies Fire Auxiliary will have a yard sale on that date. We need all the merchandise we can get. Leave your merchandise at Joan Martinez’s house on Snow Lake Drive, or the Ashland Outlet on Hwy 4. There will also be a cake sale; someone will be calling for a donation so stay close to the phone. If you want to volunteer just call Frances Simpson 224-3469. Coming Events:
Our fire department has accomplished a lot and the commissioners would like for you to show your appreciation by attending the meeting. The meeting is very short, and you will get to see the new fire truck. Remember, guests are always welcome to come to any of our events. Our Quote: “From Gentle Thoughts” “Ideals are like stars; you will not succeed in touching them with your hands. But like the seafaring man on the desert of water, you choose them as your guides, and following them you will reach your destiny.” Have a good week, and hope to see you next week.
