Lady Patriots dominate Lee Lauren Alexander carried the big bat Monday, Aug. 28, as the Marshall Academy Lady Patriots routed Lee (Ark.) 15-0. Alexander connected for two hits, including a home run, and had three runs-batted-in. Anna Roberts had two RBIs, and picking up a hit each in the home victory were Courtney Gibson and Mandy Bolden. Getting the win on the mound was Casey Gibson. She gave up one hit, struck out four and walked one. The Lady Patriots improved to 7-4 on the season. They were scheduled to go to Marianna, Ark., to face Lee again on Tuesday of this week. They host Kirk Thursday at 4 p.m. and then welcome Delta Academy to Holly Springs Friday at 4 p.m., prior to the Delta-MA football game at 7:30 p.m. The MA softball team then will participate in the Greenville Christian Tournament Saturday, Sept. 9, and travel to Magnolia Heights Monday, Sept. 11.
