Birthday dinner honors Betty Fincher
A birthday dinner to honor Betty Fincher was held in her home on Sunday by her two children, Tony Fincher and Connie Work; twelve people enjoyed the celebration. She received many nice, useful gifts, pretty cards and phone calls. She was 83 years old on Aug. 30. Betty is a long time special friend! We love her!

As I said last week, we are home from vacation and we had a wonderful time but we left last Tuesday, the 5th, for another vacation. First we are going to Las Vegas to a birthday party.

Surprise birthday party honors Lynn Anderson
My fall garden is planted with onions, lettuce, radishes, cucumbers, tomatoes and zucchini squash. It was still too early to plant my turnip seeds. My fall tomatoes are blooming. The rain and cool weather sure was welcomed.

How good it is to settle down after being on what seems like a merry-go-round. Now that I have had an opportunity to sit quietly and the streets of my mind have simmered from endless traffic, I am ready to bring y’all up to date on my news.
