SocietyCity Personals Group of young men relax with trip to “The Fish Camp” Billy Cupp, Walker Cupp, Christopher Cupp, Harold Murphy, Alex McCrosky, Billy Westbrook, John Drury and Mickey Babb spent a relaxing weekend at “The Fish Camp” in Tunica. Pat Wheeler of Clayton, Ga., is spending several days this week with her sister-in-law, Kay Wheeler, and niece, Laura. Holly Springs lost one of its finest citizens over the weekend, Billy “Bubba” Newsom. I have known Bubba for a lifetime. Never did I see him in town or otherwise that he did not have a smile a mile wide across his face! He was such a positive man with a great outlook on life - he certainly lived it to the fullest! I did not dare realize that Bubba was the chronological age he was. He had so much life in him and was always on the go. I guess that is what kept him so “young.” He is a man who contributed greatly to Holly Springs and will be sorely missed by everyone. Prayers and thoughts go out to his family, especially Dolly and Beth. Dick Douglas is recovering at home after undergoing back surgery last week. Get well wishes go out to him! Barbara Read has reimmersed herself back into our little town. She had a brief stay with her daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Bill, in Olive Branch. Welcome home, Barbara!
