South Scottish fair season August is the month for what you Americans would call county fair season. Letters to the Editor Sheriff commended: Over the years I have never seen a county sheriff make the front page of the Memphis Commercial Appeal Sunday edition. The sheriff, his officers, and the many volunteers, beside saving a childs life have brought to the county very favorable publicity.
