Police look for assault suspect The Holly Springs Police Department is investigating two recent aggravated assaults and a hit-and-run. Chief Patricia Selman said the first aggravated assault occurred on July 25 in the 100 block of Hubcap Drive. The second aggravated assault occurred July 28 in the 600 block of Craft Street. The offender is described as a black male, around 5 ft. 8 inches tall and 140 lbs, driving a maroon Oldsmobile Alero. He also has several gold teeth and a ring in his nose, according to the police report. The hit-and-run was reported July 27 in the 200 block of MLK around 1:30 p.m. The vehicle is described as a burgundy SUV, possibly an Explorer or Expedition. On July 29 the grand larceny of a vehicle was reported in the 500 block of Sanders Avenue. The vehicle is described as a four-door, 1989 Oldsmobile Regency, maroon in color. It was taken from the residence during the night. On July 30, a lost wallet was reported. The wallet was left on top of the gum machine in the front lobby of Wal-Mart.
