Lake News Annual Bluegrass Festival offers entertainment, fireworks, food and more; don’t miss it July 1 Hello Snow Lakers. I hope you had a good week. Our week was wonderful. My daughter and my in-laws came down for dinner on Father”s Day. And, we sure enjoyed the rain. Frances Poe is home after being in the hospital with her back. She is improving nicely and hopefully will soon be out and about. Idlett and Ronald West are home now, recovering slowly from their operations. Our thoughts and prayers are with all the above residents and we hope recovery will be soon. Our sympathy and prayers go the Carl Johnson family on the west side. Carl’s wife, Virginia Johnson passed away last week. Burial was in Memphis, Tenn. I just heard today that John Sealy, a former resident and still a property owner, is going into the Veterans Hospital in Memphis for a serious operation. He asks that you pray for him and his family as he undergoes this operation. I will report on him as soon as I hear. If you know of anyone sick or needing help please call Sue Graves, 224-3264. We are getting ready for the Bluegrass Festival on July 1! We have added another sign to the east entranace. Take a look! Don’t forget the professional fireworks. Thanks to everyone who has contributed to the fireworks fund. If you want to contribute, please contact the Town Hall or the Corporation office. Regarding the festival, just call me at 662-224-3913. We are hoping to have several boats in the boat parade. We would like for you to decorate but it isn’t necessary. We just want lot’s of boats in the parade. Watch the papers for the schedule. We are also looking for vendors ---- if you or your friends need a booth, please call 224-0065 or 224-3913. There will be twelve hours (plus) of good, clean, fun! Coming Events: Saturday, June 24 - 6:30 p.m. Potluck - y’all come! Saturday, July 1 - 9 a.m. Snow Lake Bluegrass Festival. Monday, July 3 - 7 p.m. Town meeting. Remember, guests are always welcome to come to any of our events.
