Camp News Temperance Hill Baptist Church hosts homecoming Cary and JoAnn Mayer attended a William’s family reunion in Hickory Flat recently. The late Nettie Williams Mayer was Cary’s mother. (She died young.) The Williams family lived in Potts Camp and owned a business here for many years. Several of his aunts attended the event, but only one uncle is living, James Williams. Carey

News Bosticks vacation in Hot Springs Memorial Day was observed Saturday, June 3, 9 a.m. at Union Valley Church. Care and cleaning of the graves, special attention was given to veterans’ graves. Prayer by a deacon. Origin of Memorial Day was given by Vinella Harper. Closed with the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. Cookies, cake and vanilla ice cream were served to the group. Angela Poole will graduate in August from Remington College in Memphis. Mr. and Mrs. John Henry Bostick, Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Gordon spent their vacation in Hot Springs, Ark. Heroines of Jericho Court No. 14 met in their monthly meeting Saturday, June 10, 11 a.m. James Tipler’s grandchildren, Willie Ruth Daughtery and grandchildren and Mary Milan attended the Tipler family reunion in Houston, Tx. the weekend of June 3. They attended worship service at Brentwood Baptist Church, where they heard a wonderful sermon, and beautiful music by the choir. We wish to express our love and sympathy to the families of Gertrude Walton of Memphis and Iora Guider of Indianola, Mo., in the recent loss of loved ones. Report News:
