Lake News Festival gets donations for fireworks Hello Snow Lakers. I hope you had a good week. I hope you had a good Memorial Day on Monday. When you are retired it’s just another day. However, this year a friend from Memphis came to spend the day with us. We really enjoyed it. Jan McGroom on Snow Lake Drive was admitted to Methodist Hospital Central, in Memphis. She was in a critical condition. Idlett West was admitted to the hospital during the weekend. She recently had hip surgery and something went wrong. We hope both ladies will recover soon. Keep both of them in your thoughts and prayers. If you know of anyone sick or needing help please call Sue Graves, 224-3264. We are getting ready for the Bluegrass Festival on July! Add the date to your calendar. Don’t forget the professional fireworks. Thanks to everyone who has contributed to the fireworks fund. If you want to contribute to the fireworks fund, please contact Town Hall or the corporation office. At potluck last Saturday, we received $100 toward the cost of fireworks. Thanks to the donors. If you need information regarding the festival, just call me at 662-224-3913. We have engaged the bands, gotten the equipment ready and are just waiting for July 1 to arrive. We are hoping to have several boats in the boat parade. We would like for you to decorate but is isn’t necessary. We just want lots of boats in the parade. We will have a trophy or ribbon for the three top winners. Coming Events: Saturday, June 3 - 1 p.m. - Corporation annual meeting. Monday, June 5 - 7 p.m. - Town meeting. Tuesday, June 13 - 1 p.m. - Friendship meeting. Saturday, June 17 - 7-9 a.m. Breakfast, followed by corporation meeting at 9 a.m. Remember, guests are always welcome to come to any of our events. Our Quote: From “Gentle Thoughts.” “The hours we pass with happy prospects in view are more pleasing than those crowded with frustation.” Have a good week, and hope to see you next week. Report News:
