Personals Everette Stubbs honored on 30th birthday by friends in Washington, DC Everette Stubbs recently flipped a number - turning 30! Though his actual birthday was May 12, friends of his hosted a party in Washington, DC, on May 6 to celebrate this momentous birthday. Hosts included Nina and Justin Fitch, Mary Glen and Patrick Carlton, Alexis and Clay Williams, Marie and Ryan Holder and Matthew Robinson, all formerly of Holly Springs. Congratulations, Everette! Christopher Cupp of Olive Branch, spent Mother’s Day with his mother, Becky Cupp. The Dizzy Dean baseball and softball games are in full swing now, if the rain can stay away long enough for the fields to dry! How wonderful it is to drive out to the Sam Coopwood ball park and see every field occupied by teams, bleachers filled with parents and the smell of hamburgers grilling wafting in the air. This is our first year participating in “organized sports” with Grady, who plays t-ball. If it were not for Lisa Shaw and the parents of the children on our team, I do not think things would be running as well as they are. Janice Wagg of Byhalia deserves a big pat on the back for organizing the entire ball schedule, which encompasses Byhalia, Holly Springs and Potts Camp. Just looking at the full schedule would give anyone a headache, much less having to set the entire thing up by teams, times and different fields. We are all looking very forward to a wonderful season of Dizzy Dean ball and owe kudos to both Janice and Lisa for working so hard to make this happen for the children in our area - thanks a million!
