Lake News Corporation meeting set for Saturday following breakfast Hello Snow Lakers. I hope you had a good week. I hope your Mother’s Day was great - ours was! We visted with our daughter and my mother-in-law. We enjoyed it very much. John Pierpont is still in the hospital and I am not sure when he will be home. Get well soon Mr. John. Nancy Loftiss, Charlie’s wife, is home and doing very well. We extend our sympathy and prayers to the the Bob Roberson family; Juanita’s sister, Dermalene Guy, of Southaven, passed away the first of this week. We will be thinking of the family. Blanch Harper, a faithful week-ender has been sick for some time and is confined to her home. Good luck Blanch. Edna Mackie on Snow Lake Drive has had a shoulder operation, and she is recouperating very well. Ricky Roser, son of Mr. and Mrs Richard Roser was severly injured on the riding lawn mower last week-end. I hope to find out more this week. Frances Poe has been laid up for several weeks with a back problem, but she is seeing a doctor now who knows how to stop the pain. If you know of anyone sick or needing help please call Sue Graves, 224-3264. We are getting ready for the Bluegrass Festival on July 1! Add the date to your calendar. Don’t forget ----- the professional fireworks ----- arranged by Flake Farmer and his helpers. Thanks to everyone who has contributed to the fireworks fund. If you want to contribute to the fireworks fund, please contact Town Hall or the corporation office. If you need infomation regarding the festival, just call me at 662-224-3913. We have engaged the bands, gotten the equipment ready and are just waiting for July 1 to arrive. Stay close to the phone this week - I will be calling volunteers. I shouldn’t have said that. When I started to call, everyone was out of the house. Don’t worry I will catch you! We are hoping to have several boats in the Boat Parade. We would like for you to decorate but it isn’t necessary. We just want lot’s of boats in the parade. We will have a trophy or ribbon for the three top winners. This year you will have all the time you need to make all three fingers, so that the residents who aren’t on the beach can see all the pretty boats. Coming Events: Saturday, May 20 - Breakfast 7-9 a.m., followed by corp. meeting at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 27 - 6:30 p.m. Potluck Monday, June 5 - 7 p.m. - Town meeting Remember, guests are always welcome to come to any of our events. Our Quote: From “Gentle Thoughts.” “Good thoughts, even if they are forgotten, do not perish.” Have a good week, and hope to see you next week. Report News:
