Tips for parents
Youth baseball and softball leagues are in full swing.
When I was publisher of the weekly newspaper in Red Bay, Ala., a Dixie Youth league coordinator gave me an article entitled, “An Open Letter to Dixie Youth Parents.”
Close to Nowhere
It’s not official yet, so don’t tell anyone, but the pastor-parish committee at Free Springs United Methodist Church met our new pastor Monday night.
Almost missed deadline for meeting (OK, lunch)
My column almost did not get written again this week because I had planned to sit down Tuesday morning and write it, but I got summoned to Oxford for a meeting. (Actually it was an invitation to lunch!)
All mostly quiet on the Scottish front ... and it’s raining
Well, so far we’ve only had a handful of days where the weather could be described as ‘summery’ here in the Scottish Borders, despite now being halfway through May.
Letters to the Editor
Looking for friend:
Hello from Ohio,
This sounds really strange but I am having a hard time locating a person from your area.
My name is Bill Ackerman and my wife Amy Tice is from your area. She is looking for some of her friends and one of them is Teresa Holmes Clifton (maybe Theresa ) and I would appreciate any help that you could give. She graduated from Potts Camp High in 1987 and married Michael Clifton. Her father’s name is Clifton Holmes.
