Lake News Professional fireworks display planned for festival Hello Snow Lakers. I hope you had a good week. As I mentioned last week the gardens are looking good around the lake. If you would like to volunteer to work on the gardens, please call T.J. Grissom, 662-471-0042. I guess I can quit asking about the ducks at the entrances. Someone told me they had seen them, so I can relax. John Pierpont is still in the hospital and I am not sure when he will be home. Get well soon Mr. John. Nancy Loftiss, Charlie’s wife, is home now and recuperating quite well. I recently heard that Mrs. Al Hammer has been in the hospital. We hope she is improving and will soon be home. If you know of anyone sick or needing help please call Sue Graves, 224-3264. We are getting ready for the Bluegrass Festival on July 1! Add the date to your calendar. We are looking forward to the professional fireworks arranged by Flake Farmer and his helpers. Everything is moving along smoothly. Thanks to everyone who has contributed to the Fireworks fund. If you need infomation regarding the festival, just call me at 662-224-3913. We have engaged the bands, got the equipment ready and are just waiting for July 1 to arrive. Stay close to the phone this week - I will be calling volunteers. The Community Center and the Snow Lake Volunteer Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary had a successful Bake Sale and Yard Sale last Saturday. Hope you were part of it. Start saving for the next one. I will print the date in the fall as soon as it gets organized again. Anything you have will be appreciated. Coming Events: Saturday, May 20 - Breakfast 7 - 9 a.m., followed by Corp. meeting at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 27 - Potluck Remember, guests are always welcome to come to any of our events.
