News Dickeys help granddaughter, Lauren, celebrate 13th birthday The First Baptist Church of Potts Camp held a “Women’s Conference” on Saturday with a large group of women attending. News Mother’s Day A Mother’s Day Celebration will be at Hopewell No. 1 Mother’s Day at 10:45 a.m. Devotion by the deacons. Sidney Govan will lead in Responsive Reading. Sis. Cora Walton will introduce the Mistress of Ceremony, Sis. Vivian Crosby. Music will be provided by the choir. Annie B. Govan will give the welcome. Remarks and presentation of rose ceremony by Pastor Leroy James. Presentation by Deacon Ben Cole II and Sis. Vivian Crosby. Origin of Mother’s Day, Curressia Walton. A Mother’s Day breakfast will be served to the mothers at 8:30 a.m. at the church.
