Lake News Garage sale set for Saturday; donations needed Hello Snow Lakers. I hope you had a good week. Have you noticed the ducks are back on the East and West Snow Lake entrance signs? Take a look when you come in or leave. I still haven’t heard from anyone. Did you see them? Call and let me know. Thanks. We want to extend our sympathy to the Zarnstorff family on Lake View Drive. Louise’s sister passed away last week. Our prayers and thoughts are with the family. Billie Croll, a wintertime resident of Snow Lake, has returned to her hometown, Holland, Michigan recently and has had a back operation. She is doing as good as expected but it will be a long recovery period. Get well soon Billie and come back to Snow Lake. If you know of anyone sick or needing help please call Sue Graves, 224-3264. We are getting ready for the Bluegrass Festival on July 1! Add the date to your calendar. We are looking forward to the professional fireworks arranged by Flake Farmer and his helpers. Everything is moving along pretty fast so we are expecting to be ready on time. Thanks to everyone who has contributed to the fireworks fund. When you see them, you will say “That was beautiful! I am glad I helped make it possible.” If you need information regarding the festival, just call me at 662-224-3913. The Community Center and the Snow Lake Volunteer Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary will have a garage sale on May 6. If you have something to contribute, please take it to Ashland Discount Outlet on Hwy. 4 at Hoover Road. If you need someone to pick it up, please call 224-3913. Anything you have will be appreciated. I missed the potluck dinner last weekend - had to go to Memphis - but I heard they really had a large crowd (40+) and so very much food. I hope the new property owners will make plans to attend, the fourth Saturday night each month. Coming Events: Monday, May 1 - 7 p.m. -Town meeting. Tuesday, May 9 - Friendship Club 1 p.m. Saturday, May 20 - Breakfast 7 - 9 a.m., followed by corp. meeting at 9 a.m. Remember, guests are always welcome to come to any of our events. Our Quote: from “Gentle Thoughts.” “Do not delay; the golden moments fly!” Have a good week, and hope to see you next week. Report News:
