Choice Rob’s legacy We can all take lessons from Rob Warren. He died Friday at the age of 24, but his short life on this earth was full of wonderful examples. First, never give up. Close to Nowhere Home, again Jane, Katy and I have returned triumphant from Paducah, Ky. — the epicenter of the quilt world. Katy bought a new sewing machine! Jane bought a new ergonomic chair. Me? I got new brakes and two new tires! Due South Oldest of Scottish festivals known as ‘common ridings’ Well, here I am back again after a temporary absence from the pages of The South Reporter. It’s May and spring is bursting out everywhere and everyone has a spring in their step. Letter to the Editor Communicating: My name is Justin Luke. I am a Boy Scout at Troop 99 and am working towards my Communications Merit Badge. One of the requirements is to write to the editor of a local newspaper. I would like to respond to the animal control article in Wednesday’s, April 26, 2006, Pigeon Roost News. My family and I have lived in Mt. Pleasant for 11 years. There have always been strays to come up on our place. It is hard to deter them. I have noticed that the number of strays has significantly decreased just in the last few months. I credit the animal control process in place by Marshall County for this. Keep up the good work and I will do my part as a resident of this county to make sure my own dog is kept on our property, and any threatening strays are reported. Thank you for your on-going efforts. Sincerely, Report News:
