BARRY BURLESON The Byhalia Indians are going to the state playoffs for the third straight year. Coach Bubba Brown’s crew, despite the return of just three starters from last season, will enter the opening round of Class 3A tournament play Thursday at Water Valley. Their first opponent in the four-team, double-elimination event was undecided at press-time. Only one of the four advances after the weekend. Cardinals, Lions, Blue Devils advance to regionals By BARRY BURLESON Several area athletes did well in the Division 1-2A Track and Field Meet on April 11 at Tupelo. Competing local schools included Potts Camp, H.W. Byers and Ashland. The Potts Camp boys placed first as a team. The top four individuals in each event moved on to Regionals, those set for Tuesday of this week, back in Tupelo.
