Separate sealed bids for PROPERTY CLEARING, DRAINAGE AND CHAIN LINK FENCE INSTALLATION FOR HOLLY SPRINGS – MARSHALL COUNTY AIRPORT, A.I.P. No. 3-28-0033-008-2006 will be received by the MARSHALL COUNTY INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY in the Authority Board Room, 320 J.M. Ash Drive, P.O. Box 128, Holly Springs, MS, 38635, until 2:00 p.m., May 23, 2006, and then at said location publicly opened and read aloud.
The Bid Proposal, Plans, Specifications, Form of Contract and Forms of Bid Bond, Performance Bond, Payment Bond, Equal Opportunity Clause and other contract documents may be examined at the Marshall County Industrial Development Office at 520 J.M. Ash Drive, P.O. Box 128, Holly Springs, MS 38635 and obtained from the office of Elliott & Britt Engineering, P.A., 823 N. Lamar Blvd., P.O. Box 308, Oxford, Mississippi. Cost per contract set will be $ 50.00 .
Deposits on the contract set of documents are non-refundable.
(1) Buy American Provision. The proposed contract is subject to the Buy American Provision under Section 9129 of the Aviation Safety and Capacity Expansion Act of 1990. Details of such requirements are contained in the Specifications.
Required Notices for Contracts Over $10,000.00.
The regulations and orders of the Secretary of Labor, OFCCP and FAR 152.61 require that the sponsor or is contractor(s) include, in invitations for bids or negotiations for contracts over $10,000.00 the following notices:
1. The proposed contract is under and subject to Executive Order 11246 of September 24, 1965, and to the Equal Opportunity Clause. The Bidder’s (Proposer’s) attention is called to the “Equal Opportunity Clause” and the “Standard Federal Equal Employment Opportunity Construction Contract Specifications” set forth in the Specifications.
2. The Bidder (Proposer) must supply all the information required by the bid or proposal form.
3. The successful bidder will be required to submit a Certification of Nonsegregated Facilities prior to award of the contract, and to notify prospective subcontractor of the requirement for such a Certification where the amount of the subcontract exceeds in $10,000. Samples of the Certification and Notice of subcontractors appear in the specifications.
4. Women will be afforded equal opportunity in all areas of employment. However, the employment of women shall not diminish the standards or requirements forthe employment of minorities.
Contracts in Excess of $50,000.
For contracts of $50,000 or more, a contractor having 50 or more employees, and his subcontractors having 50 or more employees and who may be awarded a subcontract of $50,000 or more, will be required to maintain an affirmative action program within 120 days of the commencement of the contract.
Bid proposal is to be accompanied by a bid bond in the amount of five (5%) percent of the base bid. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 45 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids.
A Mississippi Contractor’s License with the appropriate classifications is required for this project and will be shown on the outside of the bid envelope.

The Marshall County Schools are in the process of obtaining sealed bids for propane gas for the school year 2006-2007. Bids will be on a fixed rate. Box 308, Oxford.The Cost is seventy five dollars ($75.00) for plans and thirty dollars ($30.00) for the proposal, non-refundable Certified check or bid bond for five percent (5%) of the total bid, made payable to Marshall County and the State of Mississippi must accompany each proposal.
