Wilson named All-State A trio of Northwest Mississippi Community College men’s basketball players have been selected All-Region XXIII and first team MACJC All-State. They are Adrian Banks, Shawn Morgan, and Tarrell Wilson. Northwest finished the 2005-06 season with an overall record of 29-4 and claimed its fourth consecutive Region XXIII championship. The Rangers also finished as one of the top 16 in the nation by participating in the NJCAA National Tournament. Banks, a sophomore guard from Memphis, averaged 18.1 points and 4.3 rebounds this season. Banks, who was named to the All-Tournament teams at the region and national Tournaments, ranks sixth on the school’s career scoring list with 1,098 points. Morgan, a 6-5 forward from Memphis, averaged 9.5 points and 6.1 rebounds this season. Both Banks and Morgan have signed to play at Arkansas State University next season. Wilson, a 6-8 forward from Holly Springs, averaged 11.5 points and was the team’s leading rebounder averaging 6.8 per game. Report News:
