Lake News Travelers are happy to be home Hello Snow Lakers. I hope you had a good week. We want to extend our sympathy to the Al Hamer family. Their son was the victim of a fatal automobile accident on Hwy 4, near Holly Springs. Our thoughts and prayers are with them. If you know of anyone sick or needing help please call Sue Graves, 224-3264. I don’t like to keep repeating myself, but each time I write about the Festival, I hope one more person will see the write-up and will look forward to being a part of it. We are getting ready for the Bluegrass Festival on July 1! Add the date to your calendar. When you mention the festival, please be sure to say we are having fireworks. We will have another meeting early in April, so watch the paper for the announcement. Also, keep the phone lines open - I will be calling for volunteers. At this time I would like to mention we are looking forward to the Boat Parade. Last year we had a little problem with the time it took to make all three fingers. This year you will have all the time you need, because those who don’t come to the festival look forward to seeing the parade from their dock. I didn’t have time to let you know in advance that we had a meeting on April 11. If you are interested in coming to the meetings, just call me at 224-3913. Well, we are home from our vacation and I wish all of you could see this beautiful country as we have seen it during the last two months. But we are happy to be home, and to see our friends. This was an automobile trip, but I think I have walked at least two hundred miles while touring the sites. Coming Events: Saturday, Apr. 15 - 7-9 a.m. Breakfast followed by the Corporation meeting at 9 a.m. Saturday, Apr. 22 - 6:30 p.m. Potluck Monday, May 1 - 7 p.m -Town meeting. Remember, guests are always welcome to come to any of our events. Our Quote: From “Gentle Thoughts.” “Hope is like the sun, which, as we journey toward it, casts the shadow of our burden behind us.” Have a good week, and hope to see you next week. Report News:
