Letters to the EditorResponse to letter: Well, can you imagine that Dave Young is giving us a black history lesson? We know Uncle Sam gave him a very good education but was black history a curriculum? It is true back in the Civil War time span there were black people claiming to be Republicans. Mr. Young failed to mention that all Democrats in those days are the same people now who claim to be Republicans now. I see the indenticals the same now as it was then. The blacks were trying to get away from the people who murdered complete black families. They were showing resentment to the people who refused to educate them or let them vote. The black people weren’t allowed to drink from the same dipper. They weren’t allowed to use the same outdoor toilet as the whites. Real history of the blacks is too gruesome for the likes of Dave Young to speak in the public. Dave may also mention that MS white ancestors are from that group of the past and are still trying to keep the fires roaring. In my days not quite going back to the Civil War we saw the KKK, we saw people buried in an earthen dam, we saw men who dared asked for equalities shot to death, we saw black churches burned. This could go on into a very long history book. Then came Martin Luther King and Lyndon Johnson and they drove most of the white people who were acting like mad dogs into the Republican kennels and slammed the door on them. They went inside of these kennels screaming and are still screaming and some don’t even know why they are still so mad. Mr. Young, black people are so much like the whites. When they come into money they turn their backs on their own and want to play up to the powerful money. This explains Sammy and Jackie and many others. You have seen many, and I mean many, whites get a better paying job and they turn their backs on their own and forget their principles. I know for sure that Marshall and Tate counties have set a goal for the Republicans to get out of the sin of omission. They will very soon start running the whites on a Republican ticket instead of lying to the people and running as Democrats. Doxey and Dempsey are in the mix now and you know you need some of these black votes so your sin of omission is saying the Democrats don’t want the blacks to know that some of them have been Republicans. Mr. Young, would you admit to us that your latest letter to the editor is just plain kissing up to the blacks? How is your party going to put up with this? If you are going to be in politics here in MS, try finding one white person in the legislature who didn’t vote for the Republican President. Surely, if any, they would be the people to convert. Tell your people, Mr. Young ,why your president’s polls are down to 36 percent. I say for his Christian lying because that will always catch up to you. Thirty-six percent, hmnn that is about the amount of mad dog people driven into the kennels, isn’t it. This poll number bring him to pre-911 and the only thing that can save him is the truth. I personally don’t see the truth ever coming from George W. Bush. Dave, I say it is too late to recall your letter, but as the man says on Channel Three, “I will be watching for your next one.” Frank Houck Report News:
