Personals Caitlyn Brooks celebrates birthday Hank Wheeler of Newnan, Ga., was the weekend visitor of Mary Clay and Gene Brooks and children, Caitlyn and Grady. Charlie Douglas and children, Chandler and Caroline, of Starkville, were Saturday visitors of Leigh and Dick Douglas. While here, they visited with other friends and family. Rowan Thompson of Dallas, Texas, spent several days with his sister, Kay Wheeler, and niece, Laura. He also got to spend time with Mary Clay and Gene Brooks and their son, Grady. Caitlyn Brooks celebrated her ninth birthday over the weekend with a slumber party. The girls, Hallie Kazemba, Anna Summerlin and Arin Leigh Valentine, spent Friday night with Caitlyn. They enjoyed painting one anothers fingernails and toenails and watching movies. They joined Kay and Laura Wheeler, Grady Brooks and Caitlyns parents, Mary Clay and Gene, in singing Happy Birthday Friday night and having cake and ice cream. On Saturday, Caitlyns Granddaddy, Hank, took the girls to Collierville to see the movie, Aquamarine. Everyone had a wonderful time! After the festivities, Caitlyn went home with Arin Leigh to Slayden and spent the rest of the weekend. Leslie Swords visited Suzanna Moore in New York City over the weekend. They attended a board way show and had a wonderful time. Mary J. Paschal welcomed her cousin John Loup home from Rome, Italy, Sunday night. He had been on a 10-day cruise of Italy. Moore and Toohig to exchange vows in May ceremony at Southaven Grace DeSha Moore and John Joseph Toohig will exchange vows at 7 p.m. on May 6, 2006 at Christ the King Catholic Church in Southaven, with a reception to follow at The Club at North Creek. The Rev. Edward J. Zemlik will officiate. The bride-elect is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Allen Moore of Southaven and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Frank Moore of Byhalia; Grace Daniels of Jackson, and the late Maurice Bertram Daniels. Sha is a graduate of Memphis Harding Academy. She graduated with a bachelor and a master of accountancy from the University of Mississippi. She served as Treasurer of the Associated Student Body and of Delta Gamma Sorority. While at the University of Mississippi, she was a Senior Class Favorite and was selected for Whos Who. She is employed as an auditor with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Memphis, Tenn. The groom is the son of Jeanne Toohig and the late Dr. John Joseph Toohig of Olive Branch. He is the grandson of the late Commissioner and Mrs. John Daniel Waldron of New York and Toronto, Canada, and the late Mr. and Mrs. John Joseph Toohig of New York, New York. John is a graduate of Christian Brothers High School in Memphis, Tenn. He graduated with a bachelor of science from Houghton College in Houghton, New York. He was a member of the Houghton College Varsity soccer team. He received a master in business administration from the University of Mississippi, served as MBA class president, and was selected for Whos Who. He is employed as assistant vice president with First Tennessee Financial Capital Assets Corporation. Following the wedding, the couple will honeymoon in Tahiti and will reside in Olive Branch. Couple to wed May 6 at Asbury UMC Edith Hamer of Ashland is pleased to announce the engagement of her daughter, Jaquator Hamer, to Johnny Ray Lawrence Jr., son of and Donald and Dianne Lawrence Judge of St. James, La. Ms. Hamer is also the daughter of the late Joseph Hamer Sr. Mr. Lawrence is also the son of the late Johnny Ray Lawrence Sr. The couple will wed on May 6, 2006 at Asbury United Methodist Church in Holly Springs. Invitations are being mailed to family and friends. The bride-to-be is a graduate of Ashland High School in Ashland, and received her bachelors degree in business administration and masters degree in counselor education from Mississippi State University. She also earned a doctorate degree in adult education from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville. She is currently the director of retention and transition services at Southern University and A&M College in Baton Rouge, La. The groom-to-be is a graduate of Clara Barton High School of Health Professions in Brooklyn, NY and received his bachelors degree in biochemistry from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY. He is currently a commercial sales representative with ADT Securities in Baton Rouge and is the pastor of Peaceful Zion Baptist Church in St. James. The newlyweds will enjoy a honeymoon in Jamaica and plan to reside in St. James, Louisiana. Births Skelton Barry and Heather Skelton of Waterford are pleased to announce the birth of a daughter, Sarah Josie Skelton, born on March 7, 2006 at Baptist Hospital in Oxford. She weighed seven pounds, one ounce. Grandparents are Robert and Charlotte Williams of Cornersville and Gene and Flossie Skelton of Holly Springs. Also welcoming the new baby is her big sister Rheagan. Stephens Rodney and Jill Stephens of Bethlehem are proud to announce the birth of their first child, a son, Hutton Anderson Stephens. Hutton was born March 3, 2006 at Baptist Memorial Hospital for Women in Memphis, Tenn. He weighed nine pounds, 12 ounces and was 20-1/2 inches long. Maternal grandparents are Lynn and Peggy McCallum of Potts Camp. Paternal grandmother is Wanda Bouchillon of New Albany. Report News:
