Personals Congratulations to Uncle Mike Drewery Perry and Amy Mask and children, Joshua and Juston, and Vicki and Leslie Swords spent their Spring break enjoying the sights in Orlando, Fla. Hallie Kazemba spent some of her spring break with her grandparents, Betty and Darryl Kazemba, in Hernando. Mark and Anna Kazemba and daughter, Lauren, of Dallas, Texas, were there to visit with Hallie, as well. Congratulations to Mike Drewery on becoming an uncle! His sister, Charley Settlemires, delivered a beautiful baby boy, Brandon Reid, who weighed eight pounds and nine ounces and was 18 inches long, on Monday, March 20, in Tupelo, at the Womens Center. Oh, what fun he will have in spoiling a child who he can send home at the end of the day! Vivian Smith returned last week from a trip to Steamboat Springs, Co. She accompained Drs. Jason and Lea Farese and infant son, Luke, from Oxford. The group stayed with Will and Kate Carlton and their son, Bridger. Everyone had a wonderful time enjoying the slopes and visiting with one another. Couple to wed April 15 oril Sharp of Holly Springs announces the forthcoming marriage of her daughter, LaKeshia Shaunta Bell to Vonta Faulkner of Holly Springs, son of Carolyn Smith, also of Holly Springs. LaKeshia is the granddaughter of Lucille Rooks of Holly Springs and the late Richard Rooks. She is a graduate of Holly Springs High School and is employed with National Filter Media in Olive Branch. Vonta is the grandson of the late Julia Ann Faulkner. A graduate of Holly Springs High School, he is employed with the Holly Springs Utility Department. The wedding will be held at 2:30 p.m. on April 15, 2006 at Pleasant Grove MB Church in Red Banks. A reception will follow at Oak Palace in Holly Springs. All family and friends are cordially invited to attend. Miss Vanessa Owens to wed Dr. Ricky Robinson April 8 Ivan and Isophene Owens of Potts Camp announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Vanessa Gayle, to Dr. Ricky L. Robinson, son of Mack and Chrenelli Robinson of Memphis, Tenn. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Essie L. Dillard and the late James L. Dillard of Potts Camp and Gracie M. Smith and the late Roy L. Owens of Etta and Fragier Tyson of Mullins, SC. Owens is a graduate of Rust College, Holly Springs, and is currently employed as banking center manager for Bank of America in Memphis, Tenn. Robinson is a graduate of The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and The University of Iowa Medical School, Des Moines, Iowa. He is currently in private practice. The ceremony will take place on April 8, 2006 at New Salem Missionary Baptist Church, Memphis, Tenn. at 2 p.m. with a reception following at The Veranda Room. Miss Jenni McCord and Paul James to wed March 25 at Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church Rev. and Mrs. Wayne McCord of Red Banks, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Jennifer Lynn McCord, to Paul Roland James, son of Mr. William James and the late Mrs. Betty James of Memphis, Tenn. The couple will be married by Jennis dad at 2 p.m. on March 25, 2006, at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church in Mt. Pleasant, with a reception to follow. Jenni is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Vernon V. McCord and the late Mr. and Mrs. Van A. Deaton of Memphis, Tenn. She is a hairstylist with Fantastic Sams in Lakeland, Tenn. Paul is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. David Calvin James of Brighton, Tenn., and Austin Prescott of Ripley, Tenn. and the late Ethel Prescott. Paul is a diesel mechanic with Ozark Truck Lines of Memphis, Tenn. The couple plans to make their home in Memphis, with the hope of building on the family farm in Red Banks, in the near future. Birth announcement Scott Mr. and Mrs. Jason Scott of Jackson are rejoicing over the arrival of Aeryn Elizabeth. Aeryn was born in Jackson on Feb. 7, 2006 and weighed nine pounds and eight ounces. She was 21 inches long. Proud grandparents are Jerry and Betty Scott of Holly Springs and big cousin Mackenzie Brooke Garner, daughter of Michael and Amanda Garner of Holly Springs. Museuming Great things are happening! In a few months the Museum will be moving back in our new-old building and it is going to be wonderful! I am thrilled over the thought of the future for the Museum. We are planning to build an elevator to the third floor and the heating and cooling system will be parallel with it on the outside.
