• PTA H.W. Byers PTA monthly meeting will be held in the school cafeteria, 6 p.m. Everyone is welcome.

• WINGS OF HOPE will meet at the First Baptist Church Activity Building in Holly Springs, 6 p.m. All cancer patients invited. There will be a guest speaker.

Friday

• SECOND TIME AROUND The Marshall County Humane Society’s thrift store, Second Time Around, 126 W. Van Dorn, located next to Bailey Printing in Holly Springs, will be open Fri. from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. and Sat., 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Call 662-564-2900 for pick-up information on your donation.

• SPRING BREAK BLAST Barton Baptist Church, Spring Break Blast, Mar. 17, 6 p.m. Activities for all ages: puppet show, food. Everyone is invited. Barton Baptist Church, 523 Quinn Rd., Byhalia. 895-2306. John McMullen, pastor.

• BANQUET The Kimbrough Chapel Church family will be hosting their pastor and wife’s banquet, 6 p.m. in the church fellowship hall. Guest speaker will be Rev. Levy Jones from Gary, Ind. and is sponsored by the Pastor-Aide committee.

• MEETING Marshall County Republicans will meet at the Holly Springs Country Club, 564 W. Woodward Ave., Sat., March 18, 10 a.m. Speaker will be Betty Byrd, tax collector. Lunch will be served, $7 per person. The public is invited.

• GOSPEL SINGING Clear Creek Baptist hosts a gospel singing with The Masters Quartet from Tupelo. Fellowship at 6 p.m., singing at 7 p.m. This is one you don’t want to miss. The church is located on Clear Creek Road, Lamar, MS.

• SWEETHEART BALL The annual Sweetheart Ball that was scheduled for Feb. 18 has been rescheduled for March 18, 6:30 p.m. in the Hudsonville Family Life Center.

• CHILDREN’S CHURCH Kimbrough Chapel Church is hosting their Children’s Church, 10 a.m. sponsored by Minister Arlene Luellen and Stella Bryson. The public is invited.

• SUPPORT GROUP The Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance (DBSA) North Mississippi Chapter will facilitate its first support group for the North Mississippi area on Saturday, March 18. The meeting will be held at the David L. Beckley Conference Center located at 155 Rust Avenue (across the street from the college). There will be two sessions: college students, 10-11 a.m. teenagers, 1-2 p.m. Memphis residents are welcome to attend these sessions.

• YOUTH REVIVAL Latter Rain Church, 7:30 p.m., Sat., Mar. 18, with the Dunn Singers and Elder Bennie Crutchfield as special guests. Elder J. Brittmon and wife Tracy Brittmon will be ministering. For more info. call the church at 252-6350. Elder Joseph Selman, pastor.

• STATE DRIVE PROGRAM Sun., March 19, St. Mark Church will sponsor their annual State Drive program. The public is invited.

• LIVE IN CONCERT Gospel recording artists “The Galloways” of Nashville, Tenn. will be in concert at the church in Victoria to help celebrate Friendship Assembly of God’s 26th anniversary service, beginning at 10 a.m.

• PASTOR’S LOVE DAY PROGRAM Rising Star MB Church, with guest speaker Pastor James Rosser and Lagoshen Baptist Church of Rossville, Tenn., March 19, 3 p.m.

• MEN’S & WOMEN’S DAY will be held at Community Temple Holiness all day long. There will be a morning and afternoon speaker. Dinner will be served. Pastor is Elder Frank Moore.

• BUILDING FUND Jones Grove Church will have a building fund service, Sun., March 19, 3:30 p.m. Everyone is invited.

• MEETING Holly Springs Band Booster Club meeting, Mon., March 20, 5 p.m. in the band hall. All band members’ parents are asked to attend.

• SPRING REVIVAL The Church of the Living Gospel, located behind Ed’s Pawn Shop at Watson, will be having a spring revival with the Sloan Family as guests. • COMEDY PLAY The Panola Playhouse, at 212 S. Main Street of Sardis, presents “Social Security,” a comedy play whose setting is in New York in the 1980s. This Broadway hit was written by well-known writer Andrew Bergman and is directed by Victor Henson of Sardis. The cast consists of actors who are from several communities in North Mississippi, and it includes Phillip Frazier of Senatobia and Ashley Hawkins of Hernando. The March 30-April 2, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday performances are at 7:30; the Sunday matinee is at 2:30. Tickets range from $5 to $12 and can be purchased at the door or in advance. • REUNION The A.J. and Edna Collier Smith Reunion will be held at the Wall Doxey State Park Lodge on Saturday, May 20. Family members are asked to bring a covered dish for lunch.
