Ladies Auxiliary plans annual garage sale; contributions needed

Hello Snow Lakers: I hope you had a good week. Ours is starting off very good. The weather has been warm enough for us to do a little yard work.

Mickey Snow had knee surgery recently, and also Vicki Fox and I understand both are doing as well as can be expected. Coy Reno was in the hospital recently, but I think she is out now and staying with her daughter in Memphis. She is soon going back into the hospital for minor surgery. Get well soon! Please call Sue Wooley Graves 224-3264. If you know of anyone sick or needing help. If you know of someone I have missed, please call me at 224-3913.

Remember, the Ladies Auxiliary of the Snow Lake VFD still has new Snow Lake Cookbooks for sale. You can find them at Ashland Discount Store on Hwy. 4. Or call Frances Simpson at 224-3469 or Jane Edwards, 224-3435. We also have some Fire Department jackets $30 and $35; sweat shirts $12. You can find them at Ashland Discount Store on Hwy 4, and Town Hall.

We are beginning a New Year, so the Ladies Auxiliary of the Snow Lake Volunteer Fire Department has begun new projects. They will have their annual garage sale on Saturday, May 7 at the Ashland Discount Outlet Store on Hwy 5. If you have something to contribute, please take it to the store anytime they are open, or call Sue Shears 224-3913 or Scelette Blake 224-9251 and we will pick it up.

We have a new policeman on duty now, Joy Cocke. If you need her, just call the Sheriff’s department or 911. She is working ramdon hours.

Coming Events:

Saturday, Feb 19- 7 - 9 a.m. - Breakfast, followed by the Corporation Board Meeting at 9 a.m.

Saturday, Feb 26 - 6:30 - Potluck - everyone is invited.

Remember, guests are always welcome to come to any of our events.

Also, remember, the Community Center is available for rental for a party, etc; just contact Emily Koen 224-8707.

Our Calendar Quote. “To influence people, appeal to their dreams and aspirations, not just their needs.”

Have a good week, and hope to see you next week.
