Staff Writer

Two men were arrested and charged with armed robbery of a Holly Springs man Saturday, according to Patricia Selman, chief of police.

The suspects, Demarcus Nevels, 28, of Holly Springs, and Moses Kimmons, 23, of Memphis, were arrested by Memphis authorities. A Holly Springs resident alleged the two men held him at gunpoint and took $400 around 2 a.m. last Saturday in the 200 block of West Woodward, Selman said.

The two suspects are being held by Memphis authorities pending preliminary hearings.

In an unrelated incident Wednesday, February 9, the Police Department received a report of a burglary in the 100 block of Valley Street. The victim stated that a telephone, several DVDs and items of clothing were taken from the residence.
