  • SPAY/NEUTER PROGRAM The Marshall County Humane Society’s low cost spay/neuter program will be held at the permanent site, 646 Old Hwy 78 E. Call 252-6196 for the necessary appointment.
  • READING FAIR DISPLAYS Holly Springs Intermediate School welcomes parents and friends to view reading fair displays, Wed., Feb. 9, 1-4 p.m. Displays are located on the east and west hall of the Sims building, on each hall in the Frazier building and in Mrs. DeBerry’s office.

  • MEETING The Lessye Lee Davis 4-H Club will meet Mr. Phelps at the Marshall County Fair Grounds at 6 p.m.

  • COUPLES SEMINAR Chulahoma MB Church will host a couples seminar Thurs., Fri. 10 and Fri., Feb. 11, at 7 p.m. nightly. Pastor John E. Booker Jr. will serve as seminar speaker.

  • Gospel Singing will be held at 7 p.m. featuring the Holcomb Sisters from Pontotoc. An offering will be taken. The Apostolic Church of Jesus is located at 178 Stonewall Road, Byhalia. Pastor Garland Loveless and members invite all to attend.

Saturday

  • BENEFIT Emory Independent Methodist Church, 872 Watson Rd., Byhalia will have their annual St. Jude Benefit, Sat., Feb. 12 with a catfish meal. They will begin serving at 5 p.m. and stop at 8 p.m. $10 for adults, $5 for 10 and under. All proceeds go to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. For more info. call 838-2367.
  • SINGING Emmanuel Baptist Church, Red Banks Rd., will host a gospel singing Feb. 12, featuring the Williams Family from Wren, Miss. Fellowship supper at 5, singing at 6. Everyone is invited.
  • SINGING New Hope Baptist Church, Hwy 72, Slayden, Sat., Feb. 12, 7 p.m. with “Anchored in Him” from Dyersburg, Tenn. as featured singers. Fellowship supper will follow singing. Bro. Billy Adair and congregation invite everyone to attend.
  • Heart to H.A.R.T. Ministries of the Latter Rain Church presents a marriage workshop on February 12 from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Theme is “Rekindling the Flame.” Speaker is Dr. Richard Kilpatrick from the Christian Counseling Ministries of Southaven. For all couples and married individuals who want to strengthen their relationship. Registration is $20 per couple and $10 per married individual. Refreshments will be served.   • BLUE GRASS SINGING will be held at First Southern Baptist Church, Victoria, at 6 p.m. featuring the Delta Blues Band. Everyone is welcome.
  • MEETING The Marshall County Republicans will meet at the Northcentral MS Electric Power Association, 10 a.m. The public is invited.
  • RELAY FOR LIFE Big Star Baggers will be selling chili and hot dogs beginning at 10 a.m. in the Big Star parking lot.
  • BRUNCH WITH THE BROOKS Sat., Feb. 12, 10 a.m. Pastor Gibbs and St. Mark’s male chorus will be guests. Come and have brunch with us. Donation requested. Host pastor, Marvin Brooks.

  • FORTY-EIGHT Angels program will be held at Disciples of Christ Church in Victoria at 2:30 p.m. Pastor Bruce Williams invites all.
  • Early morning worship Free Branch Church, Sun., Feb. 13, 9 a.m. Guests, pastor Michael Henderson and church family from North Carolina. Host pastor Marvin Brooks.
  • CELEBRATION Omicron Alpha Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. will host its first Founders’ Day Celebration Tea, 4 p.m. at Annie’s Restaurant. The public is cordially invited. There is no admission.
  • CONCERT Slayden Baptist Church, Hwy. 72, hosts Steve and Becky Carver in Concert at 6:30 p.m. The Carvers are from One Way Ministries of Mathiston, MS. A love offering will be received.
