News Sue Shears Christmas potluck is set for Saturday Hello Snow Lakers: I hope you had a good week. We got our packing down to one large suitcase and one carry-on for each. I think we can make it, if we are conservative. Please remember, the Community Center Committee is now preparing baskets for Christmas. They are asking for your help by bringing non-perishable foods, or money to complete the baskets. Thanks for your help! I dont know of anyone sick to report on. If you know of anyone sick or needing help please call Sue Graves, 224-3264. The Snow Lake Volunteer Fire Departments Ladies Auxiliary still has a few sweat shirts (mostly very large sizes), and jackets at a reduced price, and cookbooks $9.50. This is a good time to purchase these items - winter is here! They are on display at the Ashland Discount Outlet on Hwy. 4, Town Hall, or call Jane Edwards at 224-3435. Remember Christmas Potluck is also a week early - on Dec. 17. Hello, we are still on the ship. The next two days we will be sailing the Atlantic Ocean toward Buenos Aires. After our two days of sailing we are stopping at Buenos Aires, Argentina. We will see Casa Rosada (Goverment House), the Presidential Palace, the Metropolitan Cathedral, and Cabildo, the first City Hall built during Spanish rule. Also the beautiful Colon Theater. Well continue on to Palermo with its beautiful parks, the city zoo, botanical garden, famous Argentine Horse Track, and national polo fields. Well have another full day to explore Buenos Aires, and set sail in the evening. More next week. Coming Events: Saturday, Dec. 17 - 7-9 a.m. Breakfast, followed by corp. meeting at 9 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 17 - 6:30 Potluck, moved up one week because of Christmas. Please attend. Sunday, Dec. 25 - Christmas Day - Merry Christmas! Sunday, Jan. 1, 2006 - New Years Day - Celebrate! Monday, Jan. 2 2006 - Town meeting ( call to confirm). Remember, guests are always welcome to come to any of our events. Also, remember, the Community Center is available for rental to Snow Lake residents for a party, etc; just contact Emily Koen, 224-8707. Our Quote: From Gentle Thoughts. Grief can take care of itself, but to get the full value of a joy you must have somebody to divide it with. Have a good week, and hope to see you next week. Report News:
