• CHRISTMAS PRESENTATION Friendship Christian Academy, Fri., Dec. 16 at 6:30 p.m and Sun., Dec. 18 at 9:45. Everyone is cordially invited.

• FOUNDERS’ DAY BANQUET Sixth annual Mississippi Industrial College Founders’ Day banquet (Centennial Founders’ Day historically) will be held Sat., Dec. 17 at 6:30 p.m., in the Oak Palace, 580 Stewart Street, Holly Springs. •CHRISTMAS PROGRAM Rice Chapel United Methodist Church will have a Christmas program, Dec. 17, 5 p.m. with a meal at 6 p.m. Santa Claus will be there. Bro. Walter Myres, pastor, invites all.

• Winter Blues horse show at Marshall County Fairgrounds, 4 p.m. Gates open at 2 p.m. For more info. call 252-5441. If snow or ice, show will be cancelled.

• TWELVE GATES TO THE CITY Smith Grove MB Church, Sat., Dec. 17, 6 p.m. Sponsored and performed by the Missionary department.

• “A GREAT LIGHT” Presented by Asbury United Methodist Church music department and community choir; by Eugene Butler. Sun., Dec. 18, 4 p.m. at Asbury UMC. Rev. J. Michael Culbreth, pastor; Zebedee Jones, guest director.

• CHRISTMAS WORSHIP SERVICE Sat., Dec. 17, 6 p.m. at Old Mt. Moriah Church, Laws Hill Rd., 5 miles south of Hwy 4 South. Finger food fellowship following worship.

• PET PICTURES WITH SANTA Bring your children and/or your pets to the VFW Sat., Dec. 17, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. and have their picture made with Santa Claus. All proceeds will benefit the Marshall County Humane Society.

• MUSICIAN APPRECIATION St. Mark Baptist Church, Sun., Dec. 18, 3 p.m. for our musicians, Bro. Rudy Whitelow, Bro. Terry Kilpatrick and Bro. Mercedes Brown. Everyone is cordially invited.

• CANTATA The annual Christmas Cantata will be performed at Asbury United Methodist Church, Sun., Dec. 18, 4 p.m. Performers consists of singers from churches from the Holly Springs Community.

• CANTATA Emory Independent Methodist Church will have its Christmas Cantata Sunday, December 18, at 11:00 a.m.

• SPAY/NEUTER PROGRAM The Marshall County Humane Society’s low cost spay/neuter program will be open at 646 Old Hwy 78 E. Call 252-6196 for the necessary appointment.

• CHRISTMAS PLAY St. Mary’s United Methodist of Potts Camp will have their annual Christmas musical and play on December 20, Wed., 6 p.m., at St. Mary’s Church in Potts Camp. Please come out and share this wonderful event with us.

December 24

•Candlelight service, Wilkins Chapel Church, Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, 7 p.m. at the church. Pastor, Michael James Sr. Special guests will be Pastor Joe T. Lester and Isom Chapel Church family.

• CHRISTMAS EVE SERVICE Emory Independent Methodist Church will have its Christmas service Sat., Dec. 24, at 6 p.m. There will be no services at Emory on Christmas Day.

• CHRISTMAS EVE SERVICE Everyone is invited to a candlelight Christmas Eve service, 5 p.m. at the Holly Springs First United Methodist Church, 175 E. Van Dorn Ave.

• CEMETERY MAINTENANCE Spring Hill Baptist Church has started a maintenance fund for cutting grass in the cemetery. If you would like to make a donation toward this fund in memory or in honor of a loved one, we would appreciate your help. The cemetery is maintained only by donations.
