Bi-County tourney starts Thursday

The second annual Bi-County Tournament will be played this week at Northwest Community College in Senatobia.

Participating schools from Benton and Marshall counties are Ashland, Byhalia, H.W. Byers, Holly Springs and Potts Camp.

Looking to defend their 2004 championships are the Holly Springs boys and the Ashland girls.

Thursday, Dec. 1
4 p.m., Byers vs. Holly Springs girls (winner goes to finals); 5:30 p.m., Potts Camp vs. Byers boys (winner goes to finals); 7 p.m., Byhalia vs. Potts Camp girls; 8:30 p.m., Byhalia vs. Ashland boys.

Friday, Dec. 2
5:30 p.m., losers of Thursday’s girls games meet; 7 p.m., Byhalia-Potts Camp girls winner vs. Ashland; 8:30 p.m., Ashland-Byhalia boys winner vs. Holly Springs.

Saturday, Dec. 3
5:30 p.m., losers of Thursday’s boys games meet; 7 p.m., girls championship; 8:30 p.m., boys championship.

Last year’s tournament was held at Rust College.

Admission to this year’s tournament at Northwest is $5 per person each day.
